About the event
The LA Shorts International Film Festival is the longest-running short film festival in Los Angeles. Now celebrating its 30th year, it's an Official Qualifying Festival for the Academy Awards® (Oscars), BAFTA, the Canadian Screen Awards, and the Goya Awards.
This year's festival runs July 30 – August 12, 2026, screening hundreds of films to thousands of attendees, including industry professionals, emerging filmmakers, and passionate audiences from all over. We're honored that Reduction was selected as an Official Selection among this incredible lineup — and we can't wait to share it with you.
